World Team Poker To Stream Events On The Internet

World Team Poker is a new concept that will field teams of five players chosen by country captains. The country teams will play each other in heads up matches of various forms of poker. Captains include Phil Hellmuth (USA), Men "The Master" Nguyen (Vietnam), and Johnny Chan (China). The first event, Vietnam vs. USA, is planned for November in Las Vegas, and they plan to stream it live over the internet.

Update, March 15, 2010: Their first event is planned for May 19 at the Golden Nugget. It will be filmed for TV and streamed over the internet. The format will be a $50,000 buy-in five table shoot out with rounds of Limit, Pot Limit, and No Limit Hold’Em. Kenna James will co-host.
